| Day 24 |
[November 24, 2006 @ 8:01pm] |
Well, catching up, my loves. I had a whole week where I wrote absolutely zero words. I know, horrible, isn't it? Then I got that lovely week of no school for turkey day!
And that meant time to start catching up. I got most of the writing done on the car ride to Las Vegas, which meant five hours there and back to write like crazy. I also got a little bit done during the actual vacation, but mainly the road trip was LOVE.
Though I only have 34 thousand something right now and I neeeed 38 thousand something, I'm not worried. If I right a little over the daily goal I used to have, I'll finished on time. Nothing deadly.
Just no more slacking off, because I only have six more days.
Anyway, the short stories are moving along really well. Some are very long, others very short. But I like all of them, even though they're a wee bit crappy.
[Funny Sentence to Boost Word Count: Wasn’t the god damn death of the god damn monster supposed to be the god damn happy end?]
Yeah, I saw the idea on the Dare board, where it said to add 'god dam' after every 'the' in the story . Of course I didn't ruin my novel by doing that, but I DID make a sentence for a tribute to that. Much love, adios! <3

| Day 11 |
[November 11, 2006 @ 4:02pm] |
Heh. I am such a horrible person.
I slacked off a bunch this past week, and in total for these eleven days, there have been 4 days when I've written ZERO words, 2 days where I just didn't have my daily goal, 3 days just a few hundred above the goal, and now two days with a whole BUNCH of words. One of those being today.
And I'm still catching up. But hey, it's Week 2. Everybody calls it the bad week, and for me it was the lazy week.
Ciao, loves! Gotta catch up to 18 thousand something today, and I'm only at 16,542!

Extremely happy at the moment - 20% done already!
I love being ahead of schedule, and it seems amazing that I already have a whole 10,000 bloody words. Yesssss!

| Day 5 |
[November 05, 2006 @ 3:32pm] |
Okay, Day 4 was a disaster. That I fixed today.
Now the only reason I wrote absolutely no words yester was for the following reason: I was busy for one hundred percent of the day. Friday night I went to a school dance and then to a sleepover, which I left yesterday at 10. I had exactly thirty minutes to take a shower, get dressed, and feel ready to babysit a little girl with autism AND adhd. That was exhausting, and I was babysitting her until 2:45 pm. Afterward, I had thirty-five or so minute to take another shower [I was icky because the girl has a lot of energy], put on some new clothes, eat lunch, and run off to pick up Tria and go to a play with her.
After the play, we went straight to her house where we ate dinner, chatted, and in general had fun. Then I had to babysit HER little brother, and he fell asleep around eight forty five. And I was so exhausted by the whole day, that I had no energy whatsoever to write, so I read a wonderful book; Howl's Moving Castle.
Then I fell asleep, woke up when the family came home, and went to sleep again with Tria after a tiny bit of chatting.
The next morning, however, was a wonderful day for Nano. Today we woke up, had breakfast, and then both went to Tria's officy-place. Tria started working on her Nano, while I quickly finished up the last 30 pages or so of the book I was reading, and also started typing. I typed for about two hours, and got over 2,500 words done.
And now I have over 3,000 words for the day, and I'm rolling ahead of schedule. Wh00t.
Goodbye luffs, I wish this post counted for word count!

| I love school. [sometimes] |
[November 03, 2006 @ 4:55pm] |
Anyway, first period at school I have Principles of Engineering, with a computer in front of me. [duh.] Right now, all the class does is take notes and do a warm-up for the first 45 minutes of class, and afterwards we do whatever we want. And me?
I write about a thousand words for nano each class period. Wh00t.
So anyway, my word count in now up to 4,882 words. Only 200 or so words to meet today's goal, and hopefully a few more so I can be ahead.

| Day 1 |
[November 01, 2006 @ 2:45pm] |
Zomg! The craziness has finally begun!
Two wonderful days in a row; first it's all about trick-or-treating, and now I have to type for Nano!
Obviously, since I could not stay up until midnight to start nano, I woke up extra early to get a move on. Plus our school had a late start day today, so I had even -more- time to write!
I developed my cute 12 year old Sinda a lot in this story, and she just sounds so cuuuute! <3
So anyway, altogether I got 2,138 words today. So far.
Hopefully I'll write a bit more, so that I can boost my word count up a lot!

| Aha! I know more.... |
[October 29, 2006 @ 11:58am] |
Gah. I was having issues figuring out how the heck I was going to write this, when it hit me! Since I'm writing the story of how Leiryn was created, why not instead make a bunch of interconnected stories? That way I can have everything actually make sense and tie together, without having to make it one long story.
This makes it easier for me to write. And I'll develop Leiryn better, with many more characters and better understanding of each section of it.
Plus I won't get bored of any one part, because if I do I'll write a different part. Success! ;)

| Plotness? |
[October 29, 2006 @ 11:12am] |
I'm so nervous about this whole project. I mean, I still need to make some charrie profiles, and figure out how this story is going to flow. Who will my main characters be, what POV?
I know the basic plot; I figured that out quite a while ago...during math class, of course. ^.^
Since you guys probably didn't already know, I have a huge 'life-time' project...creating my own world, called Leiryn. It's a place of different types of magic, languages, cultures, creatures, and religions.
And this NaNoWriMo is supposed to help develop it some more. It will FORCE me to develop more, which is wonderful.
What I'm developing is really how this magical world came to be. With that comes making up all the different gods, having them create mankind, and pretty wars.
Here's what I basically know.

| Art thou prepared? |
[October 28, 2006 @ 2:28pm] |
Mmmm. Only a couple of days until the biiiig day.
And do you know what Nanowrimo means?
Lots of chocolate, procrastination, stress, and waaaaay too much typing.
But hey, 50,000 words in a single month is definitely saying something, and I hope I make it. I've already sucked my best friend Tria into the mass of chaotic, insane people who dare to be different. Oh yeah.
Anyway, I definitely know what I'm writing for Nano; it's a big whole LOOONG history for my imaginary world, Leiryn. But it's not boring history format. It has magic, and gods, and pretty shinies all in fun story format! Yay for development.
Now I just have to...figure out who my characters are. So I'm off to pretend to make charrie profiles, and eat cookies, while dreading 1667 words per day in November. <3
[All that = my death. x-x;]
